About the job

Job description Here’s what we’ll do together: Is your passion for denim as high as ours? Join G-Star RAW as our new Copywriter, who is a native Dutch speaker. As a brand copy guardian, you will help create and preserve G-Star’s tone of voice across a variety of channels, including, but not limited to, brand materials, creative concepts, retail and social media content. You will work closely with different departments to ensure timely and high-quality work output. Just imagine – As our new Copywriter, based in our headquarters in Amsterdam, you will be the voice of the brand, creating key brand messages, and distilling those messages appropriately and consistently across various media and channels. This role will be responsible for everything from conceptualization of full campaigns to .com storytelling, social media, display, product copywriting, CRM, proofreading and more. Job responsibilities • Demonstrate a deep understanding of brand voice and style, ensuring they are appropriately executed throughout everything written, meeting a high professional standard. • Conceptualize fully integrated campaigns and oversee campaign development. • Author and own all activation copy (social, display, newsletters, product listings, etc). • Partner and collaborate with multiple specializations (i.e., art, design, UX, DTP, brand, social, digital, sustainability, retail) as well as product design to ensure that the specifics of the products come to life through copy. • Effectively present your ideas to project partners and executives. • Proofread anything that comes your way

Dit is wie je bent

What you bring to the table:

  • You have 2-3 years of experience in creative, marketing or communications writing, preferably with experience in fashion industry.
  • A Bachelor degree in Communications, Fashion Branding, (Creative) Writing or similar.
  • Native speaker Dutch
  • Are you Strong communicator and great storyteller.
  • You will have the ability to write in adherence to brand voice and established style.
  • Attention to detail – you must be able to write and rewrite until the message clear and strong.
  • You will have the ability to take constructive criticism and a flexible nature to keep up with business requirements.
  • You have the knowledge of garment construction, fabrication, and fashion terminology is a plus.
  • You have ability to translate/edit our central messages into texts that appeal to a wide range of channels (from press releases, to retail to social posts)

In this challenging position you will:

  • Report into the Creative Manager and will partner with a Sr. Art Director.
  • Collaborate with many teams, including design, UX, DTP, brand, social, digital, sustainability, retail, product design and more.
