About the job
PUBLIC RELATIONS (PR) COORDINATOR 32 hours per week | Part time As our PR Coordinator you will set out the overall communication strategy for the brand Marcel Wanders and all businesses of the Marcel Wanders studio. Working in this exciting solo role you will be the first point of contact for all PR related matters, manage the content of our website & social media and actively maintain contact with suppliers, as well as business- and PR relations. You are an assertive self-starter with experience in the design field, who's not afraid to pick up the phone or approach people to get things done. Multi-tasking, fulfilling deliverables and meeting deadlines is something you excel at. As a proactive team player with solid organizational skills you add value to our team with your inspiring copywriting- and strong storytelling skills. You will provide ownership of the Marcel Wanders Image Database & press archive and source, collect and archive media clippings. You enjoy arranging press events, support event planning and execution. Writing and executing PR plans – both actively and re-actively – is something you are experienced with.

Skills & Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Degree in PR/(international) Communication, Media or Journalism
- You can manage design- and production of communication, PR material ‘in-house' journals and similar publications
- You have an impressive (international) network of journalists, magazines and PR agencies which you love to maintain and expand
- You liaise with clients on PR related matters, build and maintain a contact database and initiate mailings
- You have a proven passion for social media and can manage all channels effortlessly, strengthening the brand with your original content
- You have excellent skills in Office 365, experience in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and CRM, PowerPoint & Mailchimp is a pro
- You are an excellent communicator in the English language – both spoken and written, skills in the Dutch language is a big advantage
- You possess strong copywriting skills and have the ability to take a description and turn it into a story that engages the readers
- You are living in the Amsterdam area or willing to relocate there
- You have a European Union passport or Dutch work permit (we do not sponsor)
